Week 4 ISU

This week for the ISU, we discussed what we were going to do as a group. The work for this week was not as much as the previous weeks. Danial had helped by creating the survey and collecting the data and putting it in the excel file. Rio had helped edit the excel file and I created the tables for the x variable and the y variable. The work had been conducted well by us and we submitted the file before 8 o'clock on Friday. This data collected is going to help us in our future work as a group.

Week 3 ISU

We as a group did not meet up for this weeks ISU. Though we still did all the work as planned. We allocated the respective part for each of us to complete. We planned everything on the Whatsapp group we created. The work load for this week was not much and did not take time to complete. Though this weeks work ISU was vital for us because it hepls us plan our survey. We also had a rough idea on how to survey results would be. So we have set our expectations on it. We came up with six questions for our survey which relates to our topic. In conclusion, this weeks ISU was vital to the results we expect to see in the following week, when the survey is up on the Official CPU Facebook Page.

Week 2 ISU

This week my group and I had discussed about the sources we would choose for our bibliography. I had done the bibliography for the topic students using the internet for research. my topic had its ups and downs. the research was done by a group of social science majors. The paper had stated that the internet is great for research but it can be taken for granted by students from grade 9-12. Most students now days take the internet for granted, this is due to the fact that if they (students) cant fine the answers quickly for a  research paper they would just take information of a unreliable source. 

The teamwork with the group was fair, we had met up on Thursday after school on the 6th floor. We had split the work equally between us. It was a productive meeting as we covered all ends of this weeks ISU work.

MDM4U (ISU)

My group and I had met today to discuss the ISU. We had a few topics in mind but we were able to come up with one. Our first topic was "More natural disasters occur with the extreme change in weather.". For this topic we were unable to determine the correct statistics due to the external subjects acting on it. Our second topic was "The Increase in crime rates due to high unemployment and poverty.". for the following topic we could not to do a survey because it was unrelated to the students we were surrounded by. The topic we finally chose was "Examining the effect of the internet on academic performances." The reason why we stuck with this choice was because we would be able to conduct a survey without any issues and could be related to student/people our age. We are going to start with the surveys in the upcoming week among students in CPU. Till then.
